This is a cold storage warehouse that required the use of dry systems throughout the building. Using dry systems for the storage application required several different factors to be considered during design, such as the use of specific application sprinklers, the application of multiple charts and tables from NFPA 13, and the requirements to meet specific fluid delivery times, while keeping the number of zones at a minimum. The project was also supplied from a vertical turbine fire pump that was supplied from a stored water pond.
