MNTC is a 2-story building with 2 sprinkler zones, one wet system and one dry system. This project had a couple of unique challenges that we needed contended with. Due to the lack of space on the 1st floor the control valves in this building were located in a storage room on 2nd floor. This was a challenge because we needed to coordinate the drainage of the systems and the routing of the FDC piping to the exterior wall. Another challenge we were met with was keeping the piping concealed in the lobby areas and chapel. In order to do this, we utilized dry pendent sprinklers in the vaulted ceilings and fed those from the dry system in the attic.
